Smile like you mean it. Paramount’s creepy horror flick returns with a sequel this fall. Check out your first look at Smile 2 in the teaser trailer below.
Smile 2 gives us a new lead to follow, as Naomi Scott takes on the role of fictional pop sensation Skye Riley. About to embark on a new world tour, the global star begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.
Though the film won’t premiere until October, you can dive a little deeper into the world now. A Skye Riley single, “Blood on White Satin,” is available to stream on music platforms now. The fictional artist even has an Instagram account (@skyerileynation), which shared a BTS video featuring Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and MTV’s Dometi Pongo talking about Skye.
Parker Finn, who wrote and directed the original film, returns as writer/director of the sequel.
In addition to Scott, the film stars Rosemarie DeWitt, Kyle Gallner, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula, and Ray Nicholson.
Smile 2 premieres in theaters October 18.
