James Earl Jones, one of the most legendary and beloved actors ever has passed away at the age of 93. He was the star of movies like Field of Dreams, The Sandlot, and voiced Darth Vader and Mufasa.
James Earl Jones is one of the few EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award) winners in history. He’s won two Primetime Emmy Awards, a Grammy, and three Tony Awards. He was presented an Honorary Academy Award for his acting work. Jones appeared in some of the biggest and most cherished films ever. He started his career with Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb in 1964. His most famous role is that of Darth Vader in Star Wars. He played Vader’s voice in the three original trilogy films, and returned for Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith in 2005 and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in 2016.
He also starred in two of the most famous baseball movies ever in Field of Dreams and The Sandlot. He’s also made appearances in Coming To America, Conan the Barbarian, Patriot Games, and countless other credits over a lengthy career.
His honorary Oscar was presented in 2012 and he also has a nomination for The Great White Hope.
He passed away earlier this morning at the age of 93 at his home in New York.
